Book Review: Leaving time by Jodi Picoult

Leaving TimeLeaving Time by Jodi Picoult
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A unique novel that blends past and present to tell the story of Jenna and her search for her mother Alice. The story was full of rich and vivid imagery and eclectic yet extremely likable characters all surrounding the mystery of what happened to Alice, an elephant researcher,  over 10 years ago. Perhaps the most interesting characters were the elephants, unlike the human characters full of flaws, these majestic beasts seemed so noble. This book kept my attention and I found myself reading late into the night just to see what happened next, and I wasn't disappointed. I definitely would recommend this book.

    1. Me too - they are often hard to read and very provocative but soooo good

  2. I adore Jodi Picoult. I haven't read anything by her in ages, I think it's about time I start back. :)

    1. It was really good - I tried hard not to give any spoilers, but this book was different for her fans, it had the typical Jodi Picoult multiple perspectives but somehow this felt more optimistic than some of her previous books, despite some dark circumstances in the book. You will enjoy it.
